Please join us Saturday, April 1st from 3-6PM for a photo exhibition of the Oakland Women's March taken by YOU and curated by local Bay Area designer Randy Wells of Rockridge SF. Light bites and refreshments will be provided.
On Saturday, January 21, 2017, over 80,000 residents from Oakland and surrounding communities showed up together to march for human rights, environmental issues, civil liberties and social justice. People gathered not as victims nor as violent disrupters, but as a diverse civic army bonded by shared values and common purpose. This collection of images, taken by you, reflect the vibrancy, diversity and strength of our community. This is what democracy looks like in action. Resist. Be the change. #NeverSettle
We're switching things up in the New Year
and bringing to you all more of that new new...
With that, we're happy to introduce a couple new
local brands hailing out of Oakland.
We can't say enough about Rockridge's
tailored fits and awesome quality.
And the impeccable attention to detail--
you can't miss it with the pop colored contrast
found through every piece...
Each oxford features their signature collar tape
and orange gussets, as well as
a curved hem that finishes off the look.
Perfect for our gents that like to
rock their button-downs casual and tuck-in free!
And we haven't forgotten about our ladies!
A local brand based out of Oakland that creates
timeless, vintage-inspired pieces
made of environmentally conscious materials.
The classic silhouettes, comfy fabrics, and super
cute and whimsy patterns make them
a MUST-HAVE for Spring,
and a necessary piece in every woman's closet!
Bonus alert, every dress has pockets!!
(we know our gals love pockets!)
All pieces found at the shop and online!
We can't wait to see you at the shop Friends!
Why hello 2017!
After a crazy busy Holiday season, we are finally
catching up on things here at the shop
and getting back on track with the usual grind,
including our super creative informative blog posts
which we know many many of you
have missed dearly.
We had such an awesome year, we didn't want it to end!
(trust us we were just as sad when it came to a close..)
But onwards and upwards!
And in case we haven't seen you in a hot minute,
we wanted to catch you up on a few amazing, whirlwind,
sorta mind-blowing events that happened to us in 2016.
We celebrated our 5 Year Shop Anniversary!!!
Of course we had our usually awesome, off-the-charts
fun-fun-in-the-sun annual Anni party, inviting back
their talent at the shop for the season.
Thank you to friends, fam & customers who came out,
and no doubt it wouldn't have been complete without
the fantastic tunes of the Gemstone Band.
...And to round out 2016,
Our good friend, customer, and tremendous supporter
paid the shop a visit during Small Business Week
to kick off the "Shop & Dine in the 49" campaign--
an initiative to bring local spending back into
SF's diverse neighborhoods.
The Press Conference was held at the shop
where Mr. Mayor spoke and our very own
Ronnie-Boy got to say a few words.
Carolyn Tyler of KGO-Channel 7 news covered
the event, and we were grateful that many
of SF's raddest small business owners and supporters
came out to show their love and support.
It was a true honor to have this event at our cozy, lil' shop!
Lastly, we added a few new goodies to the assortment,
including some gear for you and your minis
to have a cool photo op...
...and we've added more to our AH shop gear with
Plus we partnered up with one of our fave local
exclusive to the shop..
All found at the shop and online friends!

We're so excited to introduce a new line of jewelry to the shop ~ Tagua Nut!
Tagua Nut, also known as Amazon Ivory, is an eco-friendly material
that hails from the South American Rainforest. This hard nut, with its creamy
color, grainy structure, and smooth texture possesses all the great qualities of
elephant ivory but with no harm done to animals.
Tagua Nuts drop from a palm tree and are
collected by the Amazon people from the rainforest floor.
They are then crafted into a variety of beautiful, organic pieces,
such as the beads shown in the wrap bracelet above,
as well as the colorful, layered necklace featured below...
Margo Tettamanzi, Bay Area local designer of these eco-friendly pieces
carefully selects each bead for her exclusive designs.
She creates everything from necklaces to rings to bracelets.
Every purchase contributes to a sustainable source of income
for the Rainforest communities and helps slow down deforestation.
As you can see, every one of these pieces has a distinct
look and feel that sets them apart.
Whether it's a Tagua Nut statement necklace
or a simple Tagua Nut ring with a pop of color,
each piece will definitely add a unique flair to every outfit,
and make a great addition to every jewelry collection!
Be sure to stop by the shop to check them out in person!

So the saying goes: if you like the weather in San Francisco,
wait five minutes.... Not a fan? give it another five minutes...!
With the constant weather mood swings we have
in SF, it's important to have clothing that's
light enough to store during the day,
but thick enough to keep you warm
for when Karl the Fog rolls in.
Fortunately, we just got in a brand that does
all of that and MORE! while being both stylish AND affordable!
We are happy to welcome Alamere Designs to the shop.
Alamere focuses on "classic, adaptable styles and the
best technical fabrics from the outdoor industry,
proven to provide weatherproofing and warmth."
Their clothing is absolutely perfect for both your everyday
commute and all the adventures in-between.
But the best part is that all of Alamere's clothing are
locally designed and locally made, right here in SF!
So stop by the shop or check them out online for men
and don't forget to shop small and support local!
We are very honored, greatly humbled and thankful

Established in 2014 with support from the
Nasdaq Educational Foundation,
the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center or "The Center,"

which The Center featured on their social media platforms.
Even Harlow-Bear got in on the action...
