We are so honored to have been invited to curate a Filipino fashion showcase for Cal Academy Nightlife’s “Islas” event last month, an entire evening dedicated to Filipino arts, culture and science, and acknowledging the Academy’s three decades of conservation research with the Philippines as part of their Hope for Reefs initiative.

With the help of our amazing network of Filipinx designers and makers, Hatzumomo, Habiness SF, Pilipinx Ako and cultural activist Kim Arteche, we showcased a series of traditional and modern Filipinx fashions using authentic fabrics from classic to current silhouettes, in both dressy and casual looks.

We also featured our exclusive Filipinx-Bridge collection, but the finishing touch to our showcase was Harlow's very own christening dress made of authentic pina fabric and hand-made in the PI.
